Quercus suber

Cork oak, whose scientific name is Quercus suber, is an evergreen species typical of the Mediterranean basin. It is distinguished by its corky trunk, often with twisted branching, which is very striking. It is used as an isolated specimen, as a large shrub or more often as a tree and multi-trunk to enhance the unique shape of the trunk. It withstands low temperatures, drought and urban pollution well. Specimens in large pots available.
