Phyllostachys

Vast genus of bamboos, with stems of various shapes and colors, dense bushy habit, are suitable for growing in pots for outdoor decoration or even hedges and groups in the ground. Very vigorous plants, need fertile and moist soils. The aurea variety has golden yellow stems and light green leaves; the nigra variety has dark purple stems and deep green leaves.
