Hibiscus rosa sinensis

Genus of rustic or delicate shrubs of Asian origin, with summer flowering of various colors. They are used as potted flowering plants for outdoor and indoor decoration, or in the garden in climatically favored areas. Hibiscus rosa sinensis hybrids should be grown in pots and kept in a protected environment in winter in cold areas, while in summer they need a sunny exposure, abundant watering and adequate fertilization. Re-pruning is done and main branches are shortened to stimulate new, more floriferous and compact vegetation.
